Facialform is a medical application designed to help professionals specialized in orthodontics, maxillofacial sugery and plastic surgery.
Facialform has been completely designed by a maxillofacial surgeon to facilitate the work in the orthognatic surgery field.
Facialform it's meant to allow a better communication between different specialists involved in the treatment of patients with disharmonic faces and malocclusions.
It provides the specialist an easy, quick and enjoyable tool to perform a correct facial analysis and follow up of our patients.
It keeps important clinical information for diagnosis of our disharmonic patients, pictures and videos.
All this information is used to generate a complete file in a PDF format that allows us to share the informations with other professionals involved in the patients treatment.Facial analysis is done over the pictures in the frontal and lateral view in rest position and smiling.
The parameters used as reference are those described for facial harmony of the soft tissues.
The application can be divided into two sections:
1. The most important is the Facial Analysis of the facial pictures of our patients: once the professional introduces or takes the picture, the app will ask to mark the points in each picture to obtain a final analysis of harmony of each of them (front and lateral pictures in rest and in smile position).
2. A final PDF file summarizes the complete analysis, which could be shared with other professionals. Each patient could have limited analysis.
The application could be used to organize the pictures ad clinical data of our patients. It offers an easy and visual way of finding the patients.
Both iPod and iPad diapositives can use the application in it's whole dimension. If the user has the two diapositives we recommend to use the iPad for the analysis process, since is more visual.
The questionnaire and the picture capture is very easily done with the iPhone. Even though we highly recommend that facial pictures should be done with a professional camera and a correct background; if, for various reasons, it cannot be done, it's better to have a picture taken with the iPhone or iPad than to have none.
